Computer Room Open Before School
The computer lab is open before school from 8:00-8:20 AM with priority given to students in Grades 3-8 who may need additional time on classwork.  Students in Grades K-2 are welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult.

The lab is also open during noon recess.

Welcome to the Computer Lab
Two computer education teachers work in our lab.  Mrs. Cole teaches grades K-5 computer skills one period each week.  Mr. Zuber teaches grades 6-7 twice each week and grade 8 once each week.  The lab is equipped with 30 PC's and each classroom teacher has at least one PC in his/her classroom. Besides the computer projection unit in the lab, there are mobile units available for teachers to utilize in classrooms. The Jr. High wing and fifth grades are equipped with laptop computers for student use. All classrooms have internet access and many computers connect wirelessly. Each year we are expanding the technology available for use in the classrooms.

Photoshop Elements v.2 is very popular!
Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are constantly learning new procedures for editing pictures with Photoshop Elements.  Watch the Lab Photos section of our site for samples of student work.

Customized photos are often used in documents created by students when creating brochures, PowerPoint presentations or reports written using Microsoft Word.

St. Louise technology committee
The school tech committee meets for dinner in the church hall approximately once each month to discuss the status of our network and machines.  Following the meetings, members perform maintenance work in the lab or classrooms.

Many evenings at 7:00 some members come into the lab to do whatever maintenance work the school needs.

Contact Mr. Zuber ( chuckz@stlouiseschool.org) if you are interested in joining the committee.

"Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not put on airs, it is not snobbish. Love is never rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not prone to anger; neither does it brood over injuries. Love does not rejoice in what is wrong but rejoices with the truth." (1 Corinthians 13:4-6)
